I, also, am not related to these Vestals; however, I "think" the descendants were in Elmore County, Ala. and migrated in the late 1880s, maybe early 1890s to Union County, Arkansas, where many of the descendants live today around Strong (Union County) Arkansas. They probably do not even know about this! Gale, Go to Google and enter Alabama 1855 Census and you can find the 1855 census in Tallapoosa County. It is not listed by pages, it has been transcribed and the surnames are in alphabetical order. I have information on one of the Davis Families in Tallapoosa Co. This family might be connected. My connection to Tallapoosa Co. is through the family of James Anderson Gamble and Mary "Polly" Bennett. Did you ever get the info you wanted from the 1920 Alabama census on John Henry Nelson and his wife Georgia Ann Thomasson Nelson? If not let me know and I`ll see what I can do. I am researching one of Georgia Ann`s brothers--Matthew Thomasson (Thomaston). I have been unable to locate Marsella Ann Elizabeth Thomasson and the children in the 1870 census. Would you have any idea where they might be? I really need their where-abouts in 1870. I hope to hear from you soon. I tried emailing you directly but was apparently blocked by a spam filter. Hope this reaches you. I look forward to comparing notes. Dan Conner Madison, Alabama
