    3. Sonia, what is this about money into the Historical Marker fund??? Do I transfer money from General Fund to the marker fund? I did not write down anything about that but I vaguely remember something about the marker fund. It would be just a minor change on the balance sheet if you want me to do that. We are $105. in the hole on that project. 3. The above are my ancestors on my grandmother's side who are buried in Tallapoosa Co, Ala. (Greers buried over the line in Chambers Co, Ala in New Harmony Presby. Church Cemetery). John Daniel Davis named his only son JOHN BELL DAVIS b.1858 Tallapoosa Co, Ala. Could the BELL family in Tallapoosa Co be relatives of the Davis, Greer, Buckner or Rush families? I have no idea where the BELL name came from - but usually the names were family names. The Greers came from Laurens Co, SC to Marengo Co, Ala by 1830 census and then to Tallapoosa Co, Ala by 1834. The Rush family were in Hancock Co, Ga by 1812 then Monroe Co, Ga by 1827 and Upson Co, Ga in 1840. 1849 Macon Co, Ala. and 1852 Tallapoosa Co, Ala. I assume the Davis family came from the Laurens Co, SC area to Tallapoosa Co, Ala as Rachel Greer married John Davis somewhere in SC. ----- Original Message ----- From: <jody@dillard.net> To: <ALTALLAP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2006 9:45 PM Subject: [AL-TALLAPOOSA] Re: How do I find if someone left a will in 1854? > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SU.2ADI/2351.1.3.3 > > Message Board Post: > > James M. It is not listed by pages, it has been transcribed and the surnames are in alphabetical order.
