Prior to Littleton moving with his boys to Hancock Co, GA by 1793, they lived in Maryland (either Somerset or Dorchester Co, Maryland). Your James could very well be from one of these brothers: David Carter, Cater/Cader Carter or James Carter (who died in Montgomery Co, AL).
