    3. Gloria Where did you find info of who traveled to Kentucky with Daniel Boone from Rowan County, NC. Thanks for your help. My Stagners lived in Tallapoosa County, AL. I have searched my book and find nothing to tie you to the Stogner line. I worked with my research for 31 years before printing my book and have nothing to indicate we are in the same family. > > I do have some books left. My book is 900 pages, 8-1/2x11 big and weighs 6 pounds! The biggest I could have printed at the time. It is $40. and that includes postage. As much as I would like to sell you one, I feel it will be useless in your search. But that is up to you. It does, however, include some data about John Barney Stagner, that traveled with Daniel Boone. > > I think I told you that I have a copy of the book written on the Stagner family. It actually is copied pages, since the book has been out of print for quite some time. At the present, I have it packed away in a box in the garage. If I can get my hands on it soon, I would be glad to print it for you if you could just pay for my expense and mailing. Since I have several boxes of data packed away, it may take some time to find it and if the temperature holds and garage isn't freezing cold. lol > > Gloria > > Important Note: > The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. KY, 47, married, general farmer james D., b. AR, 14, single U.S. Social Security Death Index: James D. Stogner Born: 14 July 1915 Death: 10 Jan 1991 Washington Oregon Death Index James Duncan Stogner Birth: 14 July 1915 Death 10 Jan 1991 Spouse: Viola I also found a census record on Archives for 1940 but it lists James D. Stogner and Viola Stogner both being born in 1906, it also list children named, Mary, James, Herman, Ruby, Kitty and possibly one more but that is totally off memory at the moment. I believe it is possible that Herman listed in the 1930 Colorado Census is the same one listed below in the 1910 Census who is originally from Kentucky and the son of Joseph Brady Stogner and Nancy C. Bennett. 1910 Harper, Cleveland, AR Herman Stogner, b. KY, 27, M1=5yrs, general farmer Esther, wife, b. KY, 22, 2/2 children, farm laborer home farm Lilly, b. AR, 3 Cleo, b. AR, 5 I am also trying to find information regarding John Franklin Stogner born 1911/1912 in Arkansas and died in Colorado. I believe he is the son of Herman and Esther. I cannot find any mention of John Franklin Stogner prior to 1930 when he is shown living next door to Esther Stogner. John moved to Colorado by 1940 and is shown there with his wife Edna Lucille Russell and children Ira Franklin and Everett Wayne. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Is there a book on the Stogner lineage? Is it available for purchase? Brandy Killman Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Perhaps you can give me more information - where he lived, born/ died, other family members, etc. If he is a Stagner descendant, I most likely do not have any information on him. I have a copy of the Stagner book done for the family of John Barney Stagner, born ca 1700 Germany and came to the United States, settling in Rowan Co., and he later traveled to Kentucky with Daniel Boone. I have included John Barney in my book, thinking he most likely is a Stogner, or our Stogners may have been Stagners to begin with. Which ever, I still cannot help you with James Duncan Stogner/Stagner without further data to go by. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Looking at the 1895 map database it looks like at one time Oakfuska was just above Tallapoosa County. Another time it appears in western middle of the county. The map is not very clear. Hard to read some of towns on the map. I did locate where Oakfuska was in Beat 8. Thanks for your help. I will find it one of these days.
