Well it has taken me all afternoon to get to this point. I saw about 15 message download, then no connection again. Unable to reply in the normal way. To clarify of the 15 newsgroups that I check on a daily basis, alt.genealogy is the only one that I am having any issues with. That is why I suspected the host server. To me the host server is the original that started this particular newsgroup. It is probable at some college somewhere. I can believe that SBC / ATT has multiple servers that gather and present newsgroups. They still could be the source of the error. There are over 50K newsgroups, so with me only having 1 error in 15 that may be. But I would think they would have rebooted it by know. Michael Kenefick wrote:
