You can do an Advanced Search, submitting more information, and eliminate many of the same names. Hope that helps some. Good luck. Joe in Texas

Good luck. > > Joe in Texas There are listed in numerical order; the numbers were assigned to the states starting in the northeast and going down the coast, more or less, then starting again at the northern border and working back down, etc. The Railroad issues generally begin with a 700 prefix. I would like to know what the "72" or "VA", etc. means in the last residence column. Someone posted that they had inquired of the SSA and were told it meant nothing. If that were so, why would they show that info in the column?? I was thinking the "VA" possibly meant they were living in a Veterans Affairs home or hospital, but it's just a guess. Henry F.
