    3. Has anyone heard or read any information about Ancestry.com's projection for digitizing the 1940 US census and making it available to subscribers? They haven't mentioned it on the frequent subscriber emails. I recall with the 1930 census that they released data in small groups of states until all were completed and searchable.

I seem to recall that Ancestry had the 1930 census fully indexed and searchable by the end of 2002. In my own case, having many surnames to update in every state, determining ED's for each one becomes a bit unwieldy. I'm hoping to live long enough to see my own name in the next one.
