    3. G'day I've just started tracing Charles McClellan (often spelt McLaulin, McLelan and as many variants as you can imagine) who was the youngest convict at 14yo to settle on Norfolk Island with the First Fleet on 6th March 1788. Records on Norfolk revealed he left the island on 5th January 1793 onboard the US ship Philadelphia bound for China, but I can't find anything since that entry. Could anyone give me suggestions on where I might look now...new to genealogy and googling didn't give me any answers. Thanks heaps HC ;-)

Bob: Simply entering Venezuela as port of departure and your dates on Ancestry gives up 290 surnames (and that's only for four ports of entry). There are a dozen or more possible entry ports. In addition, you must remember that the ship may have started somewhere else and that is listed as the departure point. If person was well-known or wealthy, name might appear in local or arrival port newspaper as being on ship and staying at Gotrocks hotel, etc. Newspaper Archives helps here. ecunningham@att.net

    3. I agree. The three wise men were probably representatives of the Resh Galusa, the leader of the Babylobnian Jews. At this time there was a verry large population of Jews in Babylon, a cultural and academic center second only to Jerusalem itself. The Resh Galusa was the leader and was a direct descandant of King David. The hereditary office of Resh Galusa existed in Babylon until sometime in the 1200's, I believe.

    3. Anybody have any data, records, stories, lies, etc. regarding genetic evidence of the sarmatian units moved to England in 175 CE? So far I've found some musings about the G2 individuals in Wales possibly being descended from those Sarmatians (Iazagys) but nothing more. I would think there might be some work being done there in England or Wales Peace. Paul Glynn
