Speaking of nada, my mother's parents, about one hundred years ago, left Los Angeles and went to homesteaded in Iron County, Utah, my mother was born a few years later on the homestead at Nada, Utah. My family has always pronounced the town name as NayDah, it wasn't until a few years ago that someone pronounced it as one would in Spanish, it then became very clear, because there is nothing at Nada, Utah. To this day we still own the family homestaed located in the middle of a mile high desert.
A search for William Pessarra in Texas in 1930 US Census was made. We are unable to read the place of birth of the father of William, as well as the place of birth of the mother of William. Looks like the country is Poland for the father, and Germany for the mother. This matches what records we do have about both of them. Thanks for any help in advance. Joe in Texas

The Ancestry.com index for the 1911 Canadian census lists a COWIE family in Quebec, Maisonneuve district. The head is William Cowie, born 1883, with wife Ethel, born 1891, and son Edawil (sic) born 1909. I have looked for this family myself, using every spelling variation or corruption I could think of, with no luck. Could SKS with an Ancestry subscription please let me know what census page this index entry is pointing to? Thanks David Cornell

Aloha, Looking for info on my Great Grandfather, whom I believe is one of four brothers including, James, John, and Gilbert, as well as one unknown daughter. I believe Shadrack became a minister, was married to Mary unknown, and is the son of a Gilbert Chaney. The unknown daughter of Shadrack may have married a William Barr. If my info is correct, Shadrack's granddaughter is then connected to the Soldier Christian Flebbe (d. 1712) line, as well as a Reverend James Fitch line (b. 1622). Any info greatly appreciated, Mahalo!
