I have obtained a copy of the Freedmen and Colored Marriage Records, 1865-1890, Sumter County, AL. This book contains information on more than 6,000 marriage license. It list the groom and bride's name(maiden name), the date they applied for the license, the date they were married, which book the information was obtained from and the page number. I am willing to do free lookups. Please forward me the names of the person you would like me to look up. Please be patient as I do work and have a household to run. This book was very valuable to me.
