Is anyone researching the GREERS and/or the STEWARTS? They lived in Sumter and Greene Counties. There were two WILKS daughters, Mary married James Greer in 1836, and Martha married Dr. Robert H. Stewart in 1844. The sisters had a brother JOHN WESLEY WILKS. The Greers had three children that I know about: Aquilla A., b. 1837, Mary A., b. 1840 and Robert L., b. 1845. Mary Wilks Greer had died by the 1850 censuus. The Stewarts had two children that I know about: Mary P., b. 1845 and James E., b. 1848.
