The William B. LOYD family. I am trying to connect this family to my great-grandfaather, William Pleasant LOYD who was born in Hale Co.,AL in the year of 1848. William B. LOYD purchased land in 1837 at the land office in Demopolis. My WP lived in Hale Co.,AL and Greene Co.,AL from 1848 to 1901 and no info can be found on the names of his parents or siblings. With Sumter and Marengo so close to Greene Co., and Hale, they have to somehow be related. Have been searching for info on him for over 20 years. Have interviewed late relatives that still lived in the area and no one knows any info. I have his Civil War Records and his widows Civil War Pension but no info. Any info would be appreciated.
