I am sorry that I cannot help you. However, I would suggest that you search for his parents or grandparents in VA, NC or SC. As you may know, most of the early emigrants to Sumter County, Alabama came from either NC or SC; however, a few came from VA and GA. Unfortunately, there are no records in the Sumter County, AL courthouse that would tell you from where your Parker ancestor came. Joe Stegall
