Old family documents indicate an ancestor named Captain Thorn. He is supposed to have been maried to, or the son of, a daughter of one of the leaders of the Choctaw nation. From the number of generations cited back to Captain Thorn, he would have been in the area of the Choctaw nation before 1800, but I have not been able to find any records of any Thorns in the area before the 1830's. Does anyone have any info that might help? Al Willard
