Albert, I am working, somewhat sporadically, on the McDonald line in Sumter County. I have what I think is a good deal of info. Seems William Samuel came to AL from SC with his in-laws, the Lavenders, Some of whom settled in Sumter Co., some in Greene. If I can help, let me know.
