I am researching in Coffmans and related Mitchells and Renchers. Samuel H. Coffman married and SUSAN BREWER MITCHELL in 1836. The census states that she was born in Alabama ... what county, I do not know. Still looking for her parents. I know there was an ISSAC N. MITCHELL, a CHARLES MITCHELL, a JACOB MITCHELL, an IRAS J. MITCHELL, a JEREMIAH MITCHELL, a BENJAMIN J. MITCHELL, and a CHARLES MITCHELL buying and selling land in Sumter Co. in the first Deed Books ..."A" - "I". Any help would be appreciated. Karen Mulder

Karen, There are two land patents issued to Samuel H. Coffman and Seaborn Brewer and one issued to Samuel H. Coffman and William Brewer 15 March 1837 in Sumter Co, AL. All three are in Township 19-N, Range 2-W.
