Kathy, Do you have any idea of when Jacob Carroll died? Gussie Dubose was the youngest child of Middleton Dubose and Sarah Jordan. Sarah died Dec 16, 1896. Living children of Sarah Jordan has told me that Middleton remarried Catherine Carroll, that she was a stepmother to them as indicated by the 1920 Census, living on Hill Stree in York, AL.. IF she was a widow and remarried Middleton then she would have been Catherine Carroll.
