    3. Let's see - There was a Jacob Carroll who died in Sumter County in 1840-41 who I believe was the father of Jacob P Carroll. I've requested a copy of his will probated in August 1841 from the State of Alabama. This Jacob was too early I know but it will be interesting to see what family might be mentioned in the will. Jacob P Carroll married Catherine Nuffer October 23, 1847 and he died in December 28, 1887. While this Catherine appears to be too old to be the one you're looking for, there was also a Joshua Carroll who is either a twin or born within a year of Jacob and he had a wife named Catherine also (I forget what year she was born) who disappeared fairly early on. Also Jacob P Carroll had a two sons that I don't have deaths or marriages for, those being Joshua A Carroll b 1850 and John Carroll b 1854. This will take a little more digging.
