Hello list I'm looking for Brook relatives. My husband's g grandmother Nina Lucy (BROOKS) Spencer was born in Albama April 19, 1867. Her father was John D. BROOKS. According to Nina's death certificate her father was also born in Alabama. It lists Nina's mother as unknown. Maybe she died when Nina was a baby. It is said that she was orphaned and raised by her aunt Mary Staten/Staiten (unsure of the spelling). Nina married J.W. Spencer and eventually moved to Overton, Smith Co., Texas where she died January 1949. I believe that Nina and her husband came to Texas at about 1890. But finally settled in Smith Co., Texas about 1911. I would love to find this group of people. I have slammed into this huge wall and can't get past it. Is there anyone out there that might be related? Love to hear from ya:) Rhonda
