I have a Mashburn line that named a son Lankford Mashburn. Is that a mis spelling of Langford? and are the Langford's and Mashburn's related. The Mashburns were in Talladega and St Clair Co. Ala. Hi Susan, LANGFORD (with a G) is sometimes spelled LANKFORD (with a K). There were several LANGFORD families in St. Clair County. I don't know of a MASHBURN in my line of LANGFORDs. But I don't know who all of my LANGFORDs married. The St. Clair County LANGFORDs in my line that I've identified are: Champion LANGFORD -- married Elizabeth REED (my GGG-grandparents) Children: Malinda -- married Joseph Henry MEANS Nancy Avaline -- married Thomas J. BRADFORD, George W. SELLERS Mary Caroline "Polly" Sally Elizabeth Terressa Elizabeth Jane -- married Robert M. JONES Champ (the only son with 6 sisters) -- married Elizabeth Jane HAGOOD (my GG-grandparents) If you find that one of your MASHBURNs did marry one of my LANGFORDs, please let me know. Thanks.
