This obituary was in the St. Clair Times, St. Clair Co., AL., Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006. Peter Battaglia Pell City--Memorial service for Peter Battaglia, 81, will be Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Jose Maliekal officiating. Interment will be at Valley Hill Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Battaglia died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marianna and Ignatius Battaglia; brothers Santo, Charles, and Anthony and sister Jenny. He is survived by his wife, Marie Theresa (Naso) Battaglia; two sons, Nate Battaglia and Charles (Amy) Battaglia; two daughters, Mary Ann Roberto and Parma Ann (Paul) Boyle; two sisters, Annie Simioni and Catherine Belsito; two brothers, Joseph Battaglia and Angelo Battaglia; 13 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Social Concerns. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the services.
