Becker, 85, was Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mr. Becker died Saturday, Nov.11, 2006. He was born Dec. 11, 1920. He was founder and owner of Becker Tire and Appliance Company for over 30 years; Graduated from Leeds High School; Attended Howard College and was a member of Phi Kappa; member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margie DeShazo Becker; sons, Joe Becker (Ann) and Tom Becker; grandchildren, Michelle Owen (Jim), Amy Phillips (Dennis), and Brandon Becker; great grandchildren, Tyler, Aiden, and Dax Phillips, and Lydia Owen. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directed the service.
