This obituary was in the St. Clair Times, St. Clair Co., AL., Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006. Eva Lurline DeMedicis Moody--Eva Lurline DeMedicis, age 91, died at home Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006. She was a member of Moody United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ullie C. DeMedicis; her daughter, Laura Jeanette Burton; and her grandson, Walter "Johnny" Burton Jr. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Nina Jean Hammond and her son-in-law, George W. Hammond; sister, Faye Bullard; grandson, Barry Chris Hammond (Tommie) of Moody; granddaughters, Teresa Jean harris (Bob) of Selma and Pam Burton of Moody; great-grandsons, West Harris (Kimberly), Jonathan Burton (Gina); great-granddaughters, Laura Harris, Brandy Hammond Mensch (Aaron), and Jennifer Simth (James); great-great-grandchildren, Skylur and Eva Mensch, Cayden Harris, and Christopher Smith. The family would like to thank our wonderful care givers for all the devotion and love they showed her daily. Thanks to Hospice for all your help and kindness. You are in our hearts always. We will always remember you and love you. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. from Kilgroe Chapel in Leeds with burial at Moody Cemetery. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directed the services.
