Karen Atkinson Watson Pell City--Funeral services for Karen Atkinson Watson, 45, will be Friday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. at Kilgroe Chapel with the Rev. Michael Barber officiating. Mrs. Watson died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006. She was preceded in death by her father, B.R. Atkinson. She was a 1979 graduate of Shades Valley High School. She was employed with Duran Jr. High School North. She is survived by her husband, Alan Watson; son, Michael Watson; daughter, Michelle Watson; mother, Jessie Tucker Atkinson; and brothers, Dennis Atkinson and Barry (Connie) Atkinson. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Child Life of UAB and/or to Kindred Care Hospice of Trussville. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the services.
