He was born 1848- died 1941 AL. at his son Jesse Edgar's home. His son Phillip Malancthom was my grandfather.One census lists John as born GA., another TN., and another U.S. His body was shipped to TN. for bural- possibly Knox Co., Concord, TN. as this was where Susannah was buried. John had 8 sons & 1 daughter.If you would like their names let me know. Nancy
