This obituary was taken from the St. Clair Times, St. Clair Co., AL Thursday August 3. 2006 Jerry Manning Ragland--Mr. Jerry Manning of Ragland, Alabama went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Manning, served in the U.S Army and a Korean War Veteran. He was retired from U.S Steel and was a member of Hardin's Chapel Church in Ragland. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Manning. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Manning; by his daughter Sarah Brazzolotto, and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his extended family. Services were Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Usrey Chapel with the Rev. Doug Ford and the Rev. Roger Kendrick officiating. Interment followed at Pope's Chapel Methodist Cemetery. The following nephews served as Pallbearers: Michael Ramsey, Steve Ramsey, Chris Johnston, Gary smith, Harlan Bice, Mike Manning, Allen Manning, Terry Manning and Nathan Manning. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Ramsey, Paul Manning, & J.R. Branham. "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Hebrews 13:2. Usrey Funeral Home Pell City, directed the services.
