Gwendolyn Shepard Lane Cropwell--Funeral services for Gwendolyn Shepard Lane, 51, of 4412 Voncile Street, were Wednesday, Aug. 9 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Revs. Maurice Keller, W.J. Posey, Ronnie Garrett & W.L Martin officiating, burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lane died Thursday, Aug. 3rd at her residence. She was a member of Mt. Hillary Baptist Church; was a former student at Pell City High School; was a graduate of Leeds School of Cosmetology; was self-employed as a cosmetologist. She is survived by husband, Bobby Ray Lane, Cropwell; son Broderice Lamer Lane & his wife Christie Lane of Cropwell; parent Velma L. Reynolds Shepard, Cropwell; sister, Peggy Swain, Beverly Scott, Alesia Threatt all of Cropwell & Lacresia McCrimon, Vincent; brothers Danny Lane of Tuskegee; Henry Shepard of Pell City; Tryone Shepard of Norfolk, VA; Brolin Shepard of Mobile; two grandchildren. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary directed the service.
