Desperately seeking information on how to locate "Choates Cemetery" in Saint Clair County, Alabama. I have searched endlessly on the internet for even a mention of this cemetery. I am not sure if the name has changed. But, would love an idea of where it is located. Someone told me several years ago that it was difficult to find .. but, I've lost any information that I had. I've been to Choates and done research there. It IS very hard to find. As you're going south on US 11 toward US 231, before you get to 231 there is a barn on the right side of the road up a ways from the road. Just past the barn is a dirt road that looks like a driveway for the barn and some trailers. The road goes past the trailers and curves to the right into the woods. The graveyard is on the right in the woods.
