This obituary was taken from the St. Clair Times, St. Clair Co., AL Thursday July 13, 2006 Joe A. Thompson Vincent--Funeral service for Joe A. Thompson, age 75, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jyly 18, at First Baptist Church of Vincent. Burial will follow in Vincent City Cemetery. Mr. Thomapson, who passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2006, at his home, was born on Aug. 28, 1930 in Vincent. He was retired from Alabama Power and served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Nita Thompson; duaghters, Marcia Thompson and Beth Thompson Fogarty and her spouse John; grandchildren, Julie Ann Fogarty and Ben Thompson Fogarty; stepsons Bradley Jantz and Jeffrey Jantz; sisters, Fanny Hinds, Billye T. Whitlock, and Joy T. Limbaugh and her spouse Shealey; and sister-in-law Vestula Thompson. Bolton-Letlow Funeral home is directing.
