This obituary was taken from the St. Clair Times, St. Clair Co., AL Thursday July 13, 2006 Leslie Ray Cheatwood (picture in paper) Talladega--Funeral services for Leslie Ray Cheatwood, 58, will be Wednesday, July 19, 10 a.m., at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Martin Murray officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park, Talladega. Mr. Cheatwood died Saturday, July 15 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He was a native & lifelong resident of Talladega, an army Veteran of Vietnam, member of Masonic Lodge 261, member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. He was a very professional mechanic. His passion in life was helping others, loving his friends and family and working on his junk. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret Vivian Cheatwood, John Glass Cheatwood and Florence Elizabeth Blackburn He is survived by his parents, Johnnie Ray and Julia Blackburn Cheatwood; sister, Beth CLark (Richard), Sue Gallahar (Steve), brother Russell Cheatwood (Dee); Clark (Kristina), Todd Cheatwood (Pam), Andy Clark, Mark Gallahar (Tosha), Jenni Warlick (Brandon), Anna Booth (Datyl), Lisa Haynes (Jason), great nieces and nephews, Devan Huffaker, Colby Cheatwood, Julia Clark, Jacob Warlick, Lauren Warlick, Isabella Cheatwood, Ava Booth. Pallbearers are Rich Clark, Todd Cheatwood, Andy Clark, Mark Gallahar, Brandon Warlick, Daryl Booth, Jason Haynes, Colby Cheatwood. Honorary pallbearers are all of his many friends. Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.
