Zion Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Brasher officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mr. Connell died Monday, June 12. He was preceded in death by his parents William & Mattie Connell, a sister Lila & a borther VIrgil Connell. He grew up around the Camp Winnataska area. He was drafted into the Army at 18 yrs. of age. He is survived by his wife Ruth Connell; daughters Sarah Diane Wood, Mary Etta Delane Pace, Rita Faye Crocker, Beverly Kay Brasher, Teresa Laree Gossett and Annie Ruth Miller; sons John Alton Connell, William Donald Connell and Bobby Eugene Connell; sister Willimania Manslow; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Michael Wayne McGowin, Jason Lee McGowin,Christopher William McGwin, James Kyle Spence, Caleb Brandon Crocker, Tyler James Brinker, Adam Taylor Brasher and Brent Allen Gossett. Kilgroe Funeral Home Pell City directed the services.
