Ray, I don't know if this is anything but, my brickwall for many years is Mary Emma Blakely. She was born October 3, 1841 and died 13 July 1902. She married Noah Cooper Looney in Talladega County, Alabama 1 Seo 1859. Noah was born at Beaver Creek, Ashville, St Clair County, Alabama. I think Mary Emma was born in Georgia but had moved with her parents to St. Clair County. I don't have a clue who her parents were. Maybe there is a clue in the names of their children who were: Ruby, Nettie, Lula or Lydia, Viola, Eliza, Isobel, Claude and Emma. Do any of these names sound familiar? Any help appreciated. The names don't ring a bell,sounds like the same story. Don't feel so lonesome I've been searching this Blakely family since 1985,there's probably connection to Georgia from another surname. I have found all my Blakely family on the census in St. Clair County,AL, hit a brickwall as far as other information. Let me look at my Blakely information and check on some things. If I find anything on your line I'll email you. I'll add you to my email list, there might be a connection to our families earlier on the line. If you have more about your family when they were in St.Clair County,AL, it might help to find something.
