This was in the St. Clair Times, St. Clair Co. AL., Thursday Dec. 21, 2006. Hazel G. Carlisle Talladega--Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel G. Carlisle, age 81, will be Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 3 p.m. from the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Rutledge and the Rev. Edwin Talley officiating. Burial will follow from the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Carlisle passed away Dec. 17, at Citizens BMC in Talladega. Survivors are three daughters, Nora Williams and her husband Karey of Talladega, JoAnn Moore and her husband Buddy of Talladega, Darnell Huddleston and her husband Alan of Talladega; four sons, Robert Carlisle of Talladega, Johnny Carlisle and his wife Lisa of Carrollton, GA, Billy Carlisle of Rome GA, Jerry Carlisle of Talladega; 29 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Carlisle is preceded in death by her husband, William Carlisle; a son, Wayne Carlisle; a grandson, Anthony Williams; and three brothers, Jack Goodwin, Harless T. Goodwin, and John L. Goodwin. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Mrs. Carlisle was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Grace Community Church. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
