This was in the St. Clair Times, St. Clair Co. AL., Thursday Dec.7, 2006. Ila Marie Smith Turner Pell City-Funeral services for Ila Marie Smith Turner, 73, were Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 2;30 P.M. AT First United Methodist Church, Pell City with the Rev. Sherry Reynolds and the Rev. Mark Parris officiating. Interment was in Valley Hill Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Turner died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006. She is survived by her husband, James Douglas Turner Sr.; daughter, Alice Turner Hestley and husband Rev. Russell S. Hestley; son, James Douglas Turner Jr. and wife Dr. Connie Hill; four grandchildren, Benjamin Douglas Hestley, Jean Marie Hestley, Emma Lunita Turner and Aubrey Jacobs Turner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Lakeside Hospice, or the Susan B. Komen Foundation. Pallbearers were Rev. Russell S. Hestley, Benjamin Douglas Hestley, Robert Patterson, Robert Reynolds, Rev. Marvin McCormick, and Tige Rodgers. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City directed the services.
