Ponda Earl Scott Pell City--Funeral services for Ponda Earl Scott, 70, were Friday, Oct. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Kilgroe Chapel with Bro. Dean Scott officiating. Interment was in Roberts Mill Pond Road Cemetery. Mrs. Scott died Tueday, Oct. 10, 2006. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church; graduated from Pell City High School in 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Porterfield Smith and Carlie Currie Smith; brother, James Smith; and two sisters, Frances Champion and Aileen Dunlap. She is survived by her husband, Luther J. Scott; daughters, Carla Scott-McFarland, Lori Anne Scott, Shannon Elizabeth Scott; son, Tracy Ray Scott; sister, Barbara Smith Patterson; brother, Samuel Bradford Smith; four grandchildren, Haley and Reagan Scott, Rustin and Melissa McFarland. Pallbearers were members of the Homewood Police Department. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City directed the services.
