What i am trying for is contact with decendants to see if any have more info on the James Melton McKINNEY + Mary GANN family and the John W. RODGERS + Sally PARKS family than i do. My blood lines are James and Mary's son William J. McKINNEY + Mary Ellander RODGERS, John and Sally's daughter, and the families listed in the post married with the McKinneys and Rodgers in Saint Clair County,etc, Alabama. What i know (except what i have not edited) is in a tree at Rootsweb in The Book of J (try searching for William J. McKinney or Mary Ellander Rodgers, for instance). Many of these families have sons and daughters that moved on to Arkansas, Texas, etc. but i cannot say exactly who. Not yet, anyway. One MIZE descendant is copying a MIZE line of Saint Clair that i (or we) think originates in the same ancestor as the one i know married in to the families i have. I do not know if this plays to your information but i would be glad to wrangle it out with you to see if it does. I now live in Madison Co., Al., so field research is not out of the question for me. thanks again, John
