    3. I've been to Choates and done research there. It IS very hard to find. As you're going south on US 11 toward US 231, before you get to 231 there is a barn on the right side of the road up a ways from the road. Just past the barn is a dirt road that looks like a driveway for the barn and some trailers. The road goes past the trailers and curves to the right into the woods. The graveyard is on the right in the woods. If you have GPS or Google Earth, the coordinates are 33.8878762, -86.2763677 Hope it helps. --Stephanie Alexandria, VA -----Original Message----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com [mailto:gc-gateway@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of kkliniewski@comcast.net Sent: Tuesday, August 08, 2006 3:54 PM To: ALSTCLAI-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ALSTCLAI] Choates Cemetery - PLEASE HELP! I live in Texas but came to Ashville 2 years ago with my mother (who was born there) to do research on her Moorer family. Very little was found on Perry Moorer at the court house and I've spent the last few years researching his family and him through other sources. At least there was some muster records and other info at the National Archives. My cousin lives in Steele and her mother (my great Aunt) had a lot of info on Perry. Perry was living with my great grandfather when he died. Are you writing a book?

I would love to hear more about the Moorers. You said you would like to exchange info on my line. Do you want to know more about Runyans? I also have the names of Caroline Errelvies's children, and Perry Moorer's wife was Caroline Till (I didn't see that on the info, but maybe you already know about Caroline Till). By the way, what kind of name is Errelvies? How is it pronounced and where does it come from? Where exactly is the Ashville Cemetery? And (I'm sorry to ask so many questions) have you ever read a book about the Moorers by Elizabeth Moorer Going (I think that's her name)? I don't remember the title of the book but I tried to find it at the library about a year ago, as it was listed on the online catalog, but when I got there it wasn't on the shelf and none of the employees could find it, so I guess they lost it and I don't know where else to find a copy.
