    2. Žan Koprivnik
    3. Hello! My name is Žan Koprivnik, I come from Slovenia and I'm a genealogist. I have a family branch that I have never suceeded to research due to a lot of mystery involved in the family. I'm talking about the Zesser family, which originated from Alsasse. They had a family crest ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/1y0jumnl686616b/grb2.jpg ) but I have not found out anything about the family. Could you please help in in getting the information about this family and about the crest? I am very grateful for your help. Best Regards, Žan Koprivnik.

    3. Zan, You will receive a better response if you can provide any estimated dates of birth and deaths, any given names, and the townland where they lived.  Did any of the Zesser family come to the US?  When? Where did they live? Little bits of information my help you find this family.   Regards, Jim Andrews ________________________________ From: Žan Koprivnik <zan.koprivnik@gmail.com> To: ALSACE-LORRAINE@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, February 2, 2013 7:00 AM Subject: [A-L] Zesser family in Alsace Hello! 3. Jim, thank you for the tips. I would gladly give any information if I had it. What I know about the family is relied on word of mouth. But still, I can write, what I know. The Zesser family lived in Krško (Gurgfeld) in Slovenia from 1792 till now. In 1792 or around that year Jacobo Zesser came to Krško. I can't find any information on him, the only thing I know is that he was born around 1770, where, I don't know. The family had a family tree with the crest which were lost in the WW2, when the citizens of Krško were transported to Concentration and Labour Camps around Europe. The only remain is this picture of the crest, that I included in the first message. That's all I know about the Zesser family. It is said they came from the area of Strasbourg. Thank you once again, Žan Koprivnik. 2013/2/2 Jim Andrews <jmjandrews@ameritech.net> > Zan, > You will receive a better response if you can provide any estimated dates > of birth and deaths, any given names, and the townland where they lived. > Did any of the Zesser family come to the US?
