    3. One of my ancestors in bas-rhin circa 1778 references Neudorff as where they are from. I checked Strasbourg area and came up empty for them. Also checked Haut-Rhin nothing there either. Was there any place else near bas-rhin area that went by name of Neudorff?? The family that mentions it shows up in trimbach area abt 10 years later.

    3. Hello   Reinhardsmunster was once known as Neudorf. If it is the correct Neudorf, the records you are seeking will be found in the Marmoutier (annexes) for Reinhardsmunster/Neudorf. I'd love to hear if you find a connection.   Good Luck Stephan ________________________________ From: Ludwig Feist <ludwigf@gra.midco.net> To: alsace-lorraine@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, February 3, 2013 1:24 PM Subject: [A-L] neudorff One of my ancestors in bas-rhin circa 1778 references Neudorff as where they are from. 3. Ludwig, the southern quarters of Strasbourg are called Neudorf. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neudorf_(Strasbourg) Neudorf means "new village". 3. Just across the Rhine River is Neudorf in Baden, now Graben-Neudorf, Baden Wurtemburg. I did lots of research in those records if you gave a surname. -- Richard Van Wasshnova http://gw.geneanet.org/vanwasshnova On Sun, Feb 3, 2013 at 10:24 AM, Ludwig Feist <ludwigf@gra.midco.net> wrote: > One of my ancestors in bas-rhin circa 1778 references Neudorff as where > they are from. > > I checked Strasbourg area and came up empty for them. > > Also checked Haut-Rhin nothing there either. > > Was there any place else near bas-rhin area that went by name of > Neudorff??
