Hi Audrey, There are many helpful people on this list, some of whom may have already helped with your translations. I couldn't have worked my way through the records I found without all the help I've received from the community here. I also enjoy trying to read the records myself before asking for help. You may feel less intimidated by the records after learning a few tidbits here and there. Toward that end, I am sharing a link to the free French online "courses" offered by the Family History Library: < https://familysearch.org/learningcenter/results.html?fq=place%3A%22France%22 > Bonne chasse, Laura On Fri, Mar 1, 2013 at 12:37 PM, Audrey Shields Hancock < AudreyHancock1939@sbcglobal.net> wrote: > > I have five French records (birth, deaths, marriages) that are scans > associated with my Lehman(n) family in Schirrhein, Bas-Rhin (Alsace), > France. Thank you, Laura, Appreciate the link. I will go to the site and see if I can make anymore headway...perhaps. My cousins and I have tried to work ourselves through this and have a little, but are missing some of the finer details. Again, thank you for your insight. I can supply a little information that might go with each scan.
