I have searched and searched but cannot locate my ancestors from Alsace-Lorraine and do not believe the info is available online. Any information at all including location, parents, siblings, marriage dates, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Husband: Philippe Decouvy (born Jan. 9, 1832) Wife: Jeanette/Jeannine Decouvy (Oct. 3, 1841) Daughter: Celestia/Celestina Decouvy (May 19, 1869) I do know they arrived in New York from Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1890, but prior to that, lived in Alsace-Lorraine. Hi Shannon, According to the site www.geopatronyme.com, the name DECOUVY is very rare in France : births registered ONLY in Ollières (Meuse, Lorraine), only between 1891-1915. No birth registered in France after that date.
