I need help please trying to figure something out: In the Cahier Sairepa No 71 for Lautenbach and Linthal, under Marriages, 17-2-1654 is Joannes Brun and Anna Glad. Under Baptisms, 26-1-1655 is Joannes Jacobus - Illeg. Would this be their son? Does Illeg. mean illegitimate? If so, they were married in 1654 so why would he be illegitimate? Also, their son's name was Baltasar, not Joannes Jacobus. So could you tell me how this might be connected? Thank you. PS Do you know where I could find a list of abbreviations, etc that appear in these research books? Like (sign.+) Mary Jo
