Some posts have been held up, again, because they are over-size. This is mostly because of excessive quoting. We all need to see a *snippet* of what you are replying to, in order to place the post in a logical framework. What we are getting instead, is enormous quotes. This situation leaves me in a quandary. Save the listmembers from these humongous posts by rejecting them? Or accept, because of the good information at the top? What I usually do is allow the posts if there is significant info, but reject if there is only a short comment followed by 20K worth of quote. In either case, however, the long posts will be delayed by a day, at least. If not longer! And many subscribers will never see the long posts, because more and more ISPs are discarding long posts without notification. Finally, I'm seeing some off-topic material. Please keep your posts to Alsace-Lorraine genealogy and family history research. We have never been rigid, but I'm noticing that some people are unsubbing. That's a pity, because this is one of the best lists anywhere. Let's keep it that way! Word to the wise, Valorie
