Carroll: I have been researching since 1994 and have come across the lines. However, I could never connect. My line went on Saarland. Alsac-lorraine was in either France or Germany at the time. I cannot locate the birth record of Johann nor his son Karl in Germany at all. I have his marriage documented there but that is it. I am and said am assuming that he was born in Alsac Lorraine. Hopefully we can work together and tie in lines. Rumor has it that some Wyble's split in the 1700's when they came over here. One or so stayed in NJ and the others went onto La. Nevertheless, let's work together on this. You can go to my site at http://wyble.tribalpages.com<http://wyble.tribalpages.com/> and see what I have done thus far. In addition if you have not been to this site, sign up (its free) and since you can speak and read French will be amazed at this site. Let me know what you think. http://forum.genealogy.ne<http://forum.genealogy.ne/> Let's keep are fingers going. BTW, where do you reside. I am live in Salem, Va., originally from Pennsylvania. I am a descendant of three brothers who migrated to Opelousas Louisiana and church marriage records here indicate they were Joseph (Vable) Wyble born about 1730, Michel (Vable) Wyble born about 1732, and Jean (Vable) Wyble, born about 1735 all listed from AlsaceLorraine, France. I would like to know the city that they migrated from. I have been unsuccessful so far. At least you do have a location. I do speak french.
