Robert, There are more Bosches outside of Alsace-Lorraine in other French departments. However, it seems that the names Weiman and Bosche are both found in Moselle according to http://www.genealogy.tm.fr/acte.htm and there is a good concentration of Dietrich there too. You may want to search villages in this department first, 730 of them, and start with the Moselle villages featured in the lists sent by Karl Roussin.
