I am still looking for information on Valentine Adolph-Elizabeth (Schnell )Adolph. Time-frame is 1820's until they coming to America in mid-l870's. All I have is that they lived "at the foot" of the Vosges Mtns. in Alsace-Lorraine. They were non-Catholic and apparently were "encouraged to leave" where they lived because of this. (according to my ggAunt who is now 95). They were friends and family of the Becks who also came to America mid-1870's. I have heard from one person near (modern-day) Mulhouse but to no avail.
