    1. [A-L] Jean Baptiste ANHEIM
    2. I am currently trying to track down data on John ANNAHEIM of Philadelphia. My very limited research leads me to determine this is Jean Baptiste ANHEIM. I have a copy of a ship arrival for "Jean Bte Annheim" at the Port of NY, where he was bound for Philadelphia, arriving on the Westernland on 17 Aug 1887, age "Ad" (adult?). According to Census records, John claims to have arrived both in 1887 and 1888. The wife of John, named both Barbara and Babette in records appears to have arrived July 30 1888 as Babette at age 28, making her the same age as "Barbara" would have been. "John" and "Barbara" claim to have been married ~1882, and to have had a daughter Josephine born in 1886. She was born before immigrating and so helps to confirm an arrival after 1886. However, I can find no indication for Josephine arriving into the US. Which is further complicated as a census has her arriving in 1887 with her father and the mother following the next year. I'm trying to patch this information together for some newly discovered Annaheims with whom, I have connected. They are descendants of the John ANNAHEIM I am trying to tie to the Old Country and my family tree. I also believe that the Jean Baptiste ANNHEIM that arrived in NY is the same Jean Baptiste my gr-grandfather, Ferdinand ANNEHEIM lists as the relative he is "visiting" on entry to the US. Although, my gr-grandfather wound up in Massachusetts, and not Philadelphia. However, John was a silk weaver, and my gr-grandparents both got jobs as weavers in Massachusetts. One more complication being Jean Baptiste is listed as a farmer in the ship's list, although I don't know of many farms in Philly, even in 1887. I think this is the same Jean Baptiste born in Jungholtz in April 1863, or am hoping so. However John ANNAHEIM claims to be born in March 1860, but doesn't read or write. I'm only doing, so far, very light research, which is all time really allows. If anyone has any data on either John or Jean Baptiste, I would be very grateful to hear from you. Or alternatively anyone with input as to my fawlty investigative skills, also. ;') Thanks, Brian
