Hello Karen, I assume you know the family probably settled in Madison Township, Muskingham County, Ohio. In 1880 this is the only Valentine Adolph listed in the US census. Tell us more of what you know if this is correct. Do you know of descendants in addition to your gg aunt. What is her name and where is she from in the US. I know that advice will be to start in the US and this is definitely a beginning. I'm sure they were Protestant. Elizabeth's burial place is recorded and I assume Valentine was buried in the same place.
