My great-great-great-great Grandfather Pierre Blochinger (born approximately 1783 near the town of Strasburg, then France (now Germany)) traveled to the USA with his wife and some of his children and their families in 1842. They entered the US through New Orleans. However, I have been unsuccessful in determining any other information about him and the family prior to leaving France. If anyone has any knowledge of the Blochinger (Blockinger) family and can point me in a new direction, I would be most appreciative! Thanks.
