Cindy (I hope you decided to stay on), I just can't understand why anyone could criticize your appeal; any bit of information one gives might be a clue to help in any of our searches. Don't give up because of one person's nastiness. I often go to geneanet.com; now the material there is put on by individuals so it is not comprehensive. One such was a listing of a Pierre Blochinger (le Jeune) married to Francoise Huber. Pierre's birth is given as 1784 but that is all for him; that in itself could be a clue that he emigrated. There is much more information on an only child listed: Marie Anne Blochinger born 1816 and death in 1898 in Algeria. She married Michel Schmitt. The town in the index gives Neewiller-near Lauterbourg, Bas Rhin, which is not a terribly great distance form Strasbourg. If the Pierre and Francesca who arrived in New Orleans in 1847 from with a grown son and grandchild are yours, these seem to be the same as above. This may not be yours as the arrival date is different I don't know if this is connected but it might be a signpost for you. Gloria Ishida
